Sales & Service (Terms & Conditions)
The use of this site is governed by the TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT OF SALE set forth below. The use of this site or purchase from Precision Scientific Technology P/L (PST) indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. All sales, whether internet-based or in-store, are subject to these terms and conditions as referred to on the invoices. It is essential you read and fully understand this document at the time of purchase. A copy of this document is available before the sale of goods at any of our branches on request.
PST reserves the right to make changes to this web site and these terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice.
PAYMENT & COLLECTION
Payments of cash, EFTPOS or direct deposit are the preferred methods. Cheques & Bank Transfers will be subject to clearing before goods pickup. Credit cards can be used in-store or through our website. Copy of the order & a photo ID may be required to confirm the identity of the pickup customer.
ORDER CANCELLATION
Cancellations attempted after the dispatch will result in the customer being responsible for the shipping and handling charges.
Cancellations for assembled system orders will incur a 15% fee to cover assembly costs and restocking. Cancellations are not accepted for software licensing, consumables such as ink cartridges & items that have been especially ordered on customer request. Any such requests will be evaluated on case by case basis. Restocking fees of 15% will be applicable if the request is granted and may be deducted from any deposits held.
Automatic orders cancellation may apply on items not picked up within 14 days of ordering.
DELIVERY & FREIGHT
Customers are responsible for paying any freight charges incurred by refused shipment and unclaimed goods. PST will make every effort to deliver on time. However, we shall not be held liable for delay or lost shipment.
Customers are responsible to have someone at the delivery address to sign for and accept the delivery. Cost for re-delivery attempts will be passed to the customers if the delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery.
PST owns the title of any extra goods shipped with your order that have been dispatched in error.
In respect to warranty claims, we will cover the return freight on faulty parts & components only. Customers wanting to send the complete system will be responsible for freight costs both ways.
We encourage Interstate & Regional customers to get the system tested locally and send us faulty part to speed the process & save on freight or purchase the system locally if freight costs are an issue.
WORKSHOP SERVICES
- Warranties cover hardware only, software & user problems will charged at the current advertised rates.
- All components are covered by manufacturer's warranty only. Labour charges will apply in all circumstances after 12 Month of initial purchase.
- The Service receipt must be produced on collection of all items. PST will not accept any claims or disputes on any goods returned without a valid service form.
- All freight / courier charges to be borne by customer for return to base warranty customers.
- PST is not responsible for any data loss; it is the customer’s responsibility to back up their data before having their system repaired.
- PST is not responsible for any delay caused by distributors / manufacturers in repairing / replacing components or system parts Customer has the option of upgrading the faulty component at the time of service, all upgrade costs involved will be borne by the customer.
- Should equipment remain uncollected for a period of 90 days from time of notification that the equipment was ready to collect, we may elect to dispose of the equipment without any further notice to you. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE UNCOLLECTED EQUIPMENT AFTER 30 DAYS
- There is flat fee of $95 applicable if you decide not to proceed with the service/repair to cover for assessment & diagnosis.
DATA RECOVERY SERVICES
- PST - agrees not to disclose any information to any third parties except to employees, independent contractors, lawyers, or agents of PST subject to confidentiality agreements or as required by law.
- PST is not responsible for any loss or damage to goods in possession resulting from an internal or external event.
- Payment is required in full before the release of data recovery.
- The "No Data No Fee" policy applies unless a clean room or electronic lab service is requested. There is a flat fee of $250 (non-refundable) applicable as a deposit for this service before Data Recovery can be attempted.
- Uncollected Items left with us after 30 days of booking will be disposed, of unless alternative instructions are provided by the client in writing.
- Customers are requested to make a copy of data after collecting their job as Data copies are kept for only 7 days after customer collection as per our client data privacy policy.
- PARTIAL data recovery is charged the same as a Full data recovery as the processes involved are the same. We deem a job Non Recoverable if we obtain no recovered data at all.
- Being a Data Recovery Company we can only recover the files in the state they were stored in, There are no guarantees for the amount or quality of data that will be recovered. Customers are requested to go through the results with engineers before deciding to proceed with data recovery.
- Due to the nature of the service, No Refunds apply on Data Recovery Jobs once accepted/collected.
- External drives need to be cracked open to access the enclosed data drive which usually results in breaking the enclosure seal. PST does not take any responsibility for the plastic casing and will only return the media drive in the event of drive assessment or Data Recovery.
- There is a minimum fee of $95 applicable if you decide not to proceed with data recovery to cover for assessment & diagnosis, unless you have opted for the cleanroom / electronic lab assessment.
MINING RIGS
- We recommend customers with adequate hardware & software knowledge invest in this space. Regional customers purchasing crypto mining equipment should have good technical expertise or access to local technicians to perform maintenance, upgrades, or modifications.
- Regional Customers must also be aware of the risks associated with shipping the open frame product. Postal insurance is the ideal option. However, riser cards or power switches can easily pop out. Customers with some PC background should easily be able to reconnect these. Our warranties & allied services are back to base, and we will not cover any third party costs that may be incurred by using a local technician.
- All customers mine crypto at their risk. The customer must understand that using graphic cards for mining may reduce the card's lifespan.
- Hardware and Technical Support is limited only to the parts supplied by us. Customers are free to make modifications; however, technical support will not be available in such cases.
- For the safety of the Rig & avoidance of unnecessary freight costs, we recommend regional customers only ship the faulty component to us for warranty.
- Regional customers can ship the complete Rig at their own risk but will be responsible for the freight & insurance costs (optional).
- Order cancellations within seven days of the order will be eligible for a full refund of deposit. Partial deposit refunds may be applicable within thirty (30) days from date of order at management's discretion to cover assembly / restocking of components.
- Payment For all Rigs must be finalised within 30 days of order confirmation by all customers.
- Unless prior arrangements have been made, All completed orders not finalised within 30 days from ordering will automatically go through cancellation & the deposit will be applied towards the integration costs & restocking of components to cover our costs.
- Refund requests can be accepted within 30 days of receiving the product. However, our 25% restocking free will be applicable to cover the costs of our time & labour.
- Being a third party cost- Shipping or Freight Charges incurred either way is not refundable.
REFUND / RETURN POLICY
We offer a comprehensive Refund / Return Policy if a customer is not satisfied with our product purchase.
We will provide a replacement, refund, or repaired product for the customer under our standard warranty terms. Proof of Purchase is necessary for servicing all requests.
Our customers are entitled to a refund, exchange or repair from the place of purchase as listed below:
- The goods supplied are faulty, incorrectly described or advertised, different from the sample shown to the client, do not do the job they were led to believe they would.
- If they receive a service that is not of a standard that a reasonable person would expect, they are entitled to a refund or free repeat service.
- Special Builds will require a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT - to cover for Requested Parts Procurement, Build & Test Time.
- Due to the nature of the service No Refunds apply on Data Recovery Jobs once collected.
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if a customer changes their mind. However, we will evaluate requests received on their merits and work towards a positive resolution.
- Customers will be responsible for shipping the goods back to us for evaluation before a refund request is processed.
- Goods must be returned in Original Packaging & must be in a saleable condition.
- Restocking Fee of 15% will apply on all custom built computers. Shipping charges will not be refunded.
Our 30 Day Return Policy - All goods sold are covered under a 30 day returns policy excluding freight charges. This policy is subject to the returned item/s being in their original unopened packaging, including all accessories. It must not be damaged in any way whilst the item in the customer's possession.
FINANCE OPTIONS
We only accept Humm Little Things & Humm 90 (6 Months Interest-Free) In-Store as this website doesn't support these payment on automatic checkout. Extended Finance Options & Lease Terms are available on request on Standard RRP (Marked Prices) and not on items already on a promotions. Please contact our sales consultants for quote on customised system or extended finance terms as they need to be processed manually.
PAYMENTS VIA PAYPAL
All payments made via PayPal are subject to ID verification. The goods will be shipped once the transaction is verified.
Following the recent change in PayPal polices, they will no longer refund the payment processing fee should you seek a refund. We will cover this fee if your refund request falls under the consumer law.
PayPal fees are non-refundable if you are unable to verify your identity and shipping address as part of the Verification Request. Customers could request a chargeback through their credit card provider, which will not only avoid the possibility of a fraudulent transaction but could also qualify of the reversal of PayPal fee.
You may choose to proceed with an alternate payment method, in which case we will accept a deposit as a confirmation and give a full refund as a gesture of goodwill which will enable you to make the balance payment once the funds are credited to your account.
